The addition to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) opened in 2007. It certainly isn’t as controversial as the pyramid is at the Louvre, but it does raise some eyebrows. I have even heard stories of it’s effect on the exhibits inside. I have heard that is is ruining some items. I honestly do not know if this is true.
What I do know is that at night, when walking towards it on Bloor street, it does indeed look spectacular. It juts out onto the street and really can’t be ignored.
I took this picture after dinner with my friends but before the after dinner drinks. Sorry, I can’t show you those photos. Dinner was Tonkatsu, one of my favourite Japanese dishes. If you have never had it….you should.
