My Eyes in the Eye of the Beholder

eyes 002

She looked me straight in the eyes and said, “Your eyes make sweet dreams when I sleep.” These were the words of student of mine to me.  Her English level is low, so I might be doing a little bit of translation here.  After speaking a bit more with her, I was sure it was a compliment and have recreated it here as best I can.

In times past, I would have shrugged and said “no” or “not really” or did something to down play it all. I was not comfortable accepting compliments and always felt that it was better to humbly dismiss things.

This time, I accepted the compliment and felt great for the rest of the day.  It is always interesting where Today’s Perfect Moment can come from.
